Rudi Janssens studied Sociology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and obtained his Ph.D. in 1995 with a dissertation titled A Boolean Approach to Attitude Measurement applied to the Integration Process of Women from Turkish and Moroccan Islamic Minorities into a Western Value System. He was a member of the Centrum voor Statistiek en Operationeel Onderzoek, the Centrum voor Vrouwenstudies and the Centre for the Interdisciplinary Study of Brussels at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He is currently a senior researcher at the Brussels Informatie-, Documentatie- en Onderzoekscentrum (BRIO), where he specializes in different aspects of the use of language and language policy in Brussels. Rudi Janssens participates in the EU-FP7 research project MIME (Migration and Inclusion in a Multilingual Europe).
