Stefanie Beyens is a PhD student working in the area of comparative party politics. She analyses the fate of new political parties that have managed to make a dent in long-established party systems by entering their national parliament at least once. Those parties that either burn out fast or wither away slowly are the subjects of her PhD dissertation.
She holds a master’s degree in Political Science (2008, VUB) and one in Dutch and English Literature (2005, VUB). Prior to becoming a PhD student in February 2011, she was a teaching assistant at the VUB’s Language Institute. |
